The beautiful Finger Lakes region is an amazing mix of farmland, wineries and lakes. The wines are overall much sweeter in the Finger Lakes than in many other wine growing regions, but they are also slowly coming into their own & expanding outside what the region has previously been known for. Even if they don’t always trend to my taste, every time we visited we managed to fill up the trunk! This shot was snapped July 2009:

Just getting around to catching up with you. Did you empty all the bottles that went with those corks? I enjoyed NY wines too.
