Photo of the Week – Nevada Ruins

Posted by on July 21, 2012

Back in 1997, we took a road trip from Las Vegas to Carson City, Nevada. This trip was spurred by a class that was mandatory at UNLV – Nevada History. It was an interesting enough trip that, having even more perspective & US travel under my belt, I would love to take again. (especially now that I own digital devices!) I never used to take so many photos, given the cost of developing but did scan in a few. Enjoy this ghost town shot – (with the hysterical time date stamp at the bottom – remember those?).

I think the date stamp is a good thing, a little strange note on the bottom of my picture so all these years later I remember when I took it.. since I forgot to mark the back or add it when I scanned it onto the computer! Love the updates you are doing.

Good point. I would have had to do a little more research on when we took that trip, versus looking at the date. I always preferred the date stamp on the BACK of the picture though – the ones on the front just kinda take me out of the picture. :)
