We’ve been asked to review products before, but we haven’t – until now. We wanted to make sure it was something we would actually use, rather than just be a promotional link. Keith and I were just discussing our current storage issues with bags we bought from a high end store a year ago.
Current Storage Solution
After a year, the bags are completely destroyed with what we consider, fairly regular but expected use – about once a week we would access them. While we didn’t spend gobs of money on these storage bags, we were hoping they would last a little longer than a year. Used in our under the bed storage in the RV, the zippers no longer zip, the plastic has rips and the handles have fallen off. Not so spectacular for bags that spend most of their life under a bed, storing sheets and duvets.
Space Bag in Use
Along comes an email with an opportunity to review Space Bag Dual-Use Bags. Perfect timing indeed. So we have spent the last month using these bags and our reaction is mixed. It doesn’t replace what we have, mostly because these bags open at the top only, making access to items not in the front a bit more awkward. They also are incredibly slippery, making stacking them more challenging than they should be. However, I think they will fit the bill to store items we aren’t going to use as often, such as off season clothing, providing a much better solution than the non collapsable plastic tubs we currently utilize. We did like how easy it was to use the vacuum to suck out the air, and even better – you can remove the air without even using a vacuum! These bags do roll up nicely as well, providing a different way of storing clothes if you have an odd space just needing to be filled. In an RV, space is a premium!
